Privacy Policy
BANDing AID is operated by J. Crowell Investments Inc., a federally registered corporation based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada ("we," "our," "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through bandingaid.com, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect
Before the BANDing AID software launches in Summer 2026, the only personal data this site collects is the email address you voluntarily submit through the notification forms. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or any other personal information through this site.
Why we collect it
Your email is used for one purpose: to send you a notification when BANDing AID v1.0 ships. That is one email at launch. We do not send marketing, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We retain your email address until BANDing AID v1.0 ships and the launch notification has been sent. After launch, addresses that have not converted to customer accounts will be retained for up to 12 months for follow-up communication about major product updates, then deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Third parties that process your data
Our forms are processed by Netlify Inc. (the hosting provider for this site). When you submit a form, your email is stored in Netlify's form submission database and forwarded to our internal email at J. Crowell Investments Inc. Netlify's privacy practices are at netlify.com/privacy.
When BANDing AID v1.0 ships and we begin sending launch notifications, we may use a transactional email provider (such as Postmark, Resend, or similar) to deliver those emails. Their use will be disclosed in an updated version of this policy at that time.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not currently set any cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or social media trackers. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and add a cookie consent banner as required by applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to deletion ("right to be forgotten")
- The right to withdraw consent at any time
- The right to data portability
- The right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask questions about how we handle your data, email contact@bandingaid.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
BANDing AID is professional photography software. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, contact us and we will delete it.
Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. We aim to comply with PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), and Quebec's Law 25 where applicable to our visitors. If you have a dispute that cannot be resolved through direct contact, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
When we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if the change is significant, notify subscribers by email. Continued use of bandingaid.com after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
